Princess Charlotte's first day at school has been marked by the release of two pictures. The images were taken at Kensington Palace by her proud mother, the Duchess of Cambridge shortly before Princess Charlotte left for her first day of kindergarten at the Willcocks Nursery School.
The young princess wore a classic boiled wool coat in a lovely rich burgundy by Amaia. The label's 'Razorbil coat' is from the current Autumn/Winter 2017 collection and retails for £120.00.
This was over a matching burgundy dress, and offset with chestnut hued ribbed tights also by Amaia (£12).
The ensemble was harmonized with colour coordinated accessories - Princess Charlotte wore her maroon Doña Carmen Mary Jane Shoes and a signature Amaia hair bow in a matching hue.
The look was enhanced with a lovely pink cable knit cashmere scarf from Marie Chantel.
The scarf is part of a gift set offered by the luxury children’s brand.
Princess Charlotte completed her first-day-of-school look with a pretty pink rucksack with a pony pattern. The design is by Cath Kidston and features a front pocket, two-way zipper, and adjustable padded shoulder straps in a polka dot pattern. The pony backpack appears to be sold out everywhere but the designer does offer a similar style on their website.

Looking at the Website and the suppliers for Princess Charlotte's school clothes I must say I'm impressed with her mother The Duchess of Cambridge...she hasn't dressed her in overpriced clothes at all ...in fact all those items are affordable for many young parents of little girls.. and if bought big ( as I used to for my children ! ) they would last a few years !!..good value I thought. .Well done Catherine .. a lovely outfit for a lovely little girl xxx
